Short & Open Circuit Finder

A tracing tool with a sender and receiver that follows a signal along the wiring, so you can locate short circuits and broken wires without taking the whole car apart.

Low-voltage use only. Never use it on high-voltage circuits in electric or hybrid vehicles, or on mains power. It does not replace a multimeter.

  • Handheld receiver with flexible probe
  • For 6–42 V DC systems
  • Locates short and open circuits

  1. Remove the blown fuse and connect the sender across the fuse terminals as described in the manual.
  2. Switch on the receiver and follow the wiring loom.
  3. The signal changes where the fault is.
  4. Repair the wiring, then fit a new fuse of the correct rating.

Guessing vs. tracing.

Trace through the trim

Instead of: strip panels to look.

Find the cause

Instead of: replace fuse after fuse.

Follow the signal

Instead of: hours of guesswork.

Diagnose it yourself first

Instead of: workshop diagnostic fee.

Without a tracer vs. with the circuit finder.

Questions, answered plainly.

It's for 6–42 V DC systems – most cars, motorcycles, vans and many trucks. Never use it on high-voltage EV or hybrid circuits.

Yes, it's a tracing tool and doesn't replace a multimeter for measuring voltage or resistance.

The receiver can pick up the signal through trim and insulation, which helps you narrow down where to look before removing anything.

Check the product listing and manual for battery type and whether batteries are included.
